Yorkshire Learning Trust Information

We're part of the Yorkshire Learning Trust! The YLT is a new Trust formed when the STARMAT (Sherburn, Tadcaster & Rural Schools MAT) and the SYMAT (South York Schools MAT) merged in September 2025. As a member of the Trust, we aim to provide an outstanding and inspirational learning experience for all our young people in the areas we serve.

Governance

Within the YLT, each school has a Local Governing Committee (LGC) that supports the work of the Trust and the school. It has certain delegated authority to oversee the running of the school under the Scheme of Delegation as defined by the Trust Board of the YLT. The Register of Business Interests is available via the Trust Board website click here.

Minutes of the LGC for each school are available on request from the School Office or clerktogovs@starmat.uk.
